LED (Light Emitting Diode) solid state technology is not a new science. The venerable LED has been around for a long time, but mostly as panel and low power indicators, TV remote controls, and the like.

Not until recent years has the technology been perfected that utilizes the LED advantages as a viable, standard illumination source. The trend over the last 4 decades is over a 30x increase in light output per decade.

The LED is a solid state device featuring a brilliant light output, with low power consumption, & nominal heat generation as compared to incandescent lighting sources, and lasting for thousands of hours with no filament to break.

The LED illumination source = environmentally friendly. This is primarily due to the reduction in the amount of power consumed by the LED source. In addition, the minimal amount of heat generated by an LED device, the durability, and device longevity (at least 10x the life of a standard incandescent source), also attribute to the reduction in the amount of disposed, burned out & broken bulbs, and, as the in the case of our LED Flashlights, the copious amounts of spent batteries also being expelled.
